Welcome to Rochester Quakers

...and a special welcome to those we met at Medway Pride on Saturday 17th August! Please see our Blog page for photos and thoughts.

We've created this website for those interested in attending a Quaker Meeting, and for those interested in hiring our building.

There are lots of great resources to help you understand what Quakers do and believe, but we think the best way to experience a Quaker Meeting is to attend one. We know it can be daunting to go somewhere new and not to know what to expect, so have a look at this website, and contact us if you have any questions.

We meet every Sunday at 10.30am at Rochester Quaker Meeting House. We'd love to see you there.

Community

Quakers believe in actions, not words so we support the local homeless and vulnerable people in several ways. We make blankets, like this one in the picture, and we host a weekly 'Open House' for them.

Quakers see compassion and community as fundamental to a healthy society, and the Meeting House is a hub for about 25 groups who are supportive of each other.

Interfaith is at the heart of this. With all the problems in the world, talking with a diverse group of people, with kindness, compassion and hope for the future is very important.
